Post Driver Bases | PB650 130° Rotational

3.5m2 of Post Driving Strike Area, So There is Less Time Adjusting You Tractor.

The FencePro PB650 is a rotating post driver base designed to save farmers and fencing contractors time on the fence line. With 130 degrees of rotation and 650mm of shift, you can use the PB650 base to position your post driver precisely on your post mark, without having to constantly adjust the position of your tractor.

Thanks to its rotation, shift, hydraulic legs, and hydraulic tractor top link, it also opens up the ability to ram posts in positions that would usually be well out of reach with a rear-mounted or side-mounted machine, meaning less posts that have to be done by hand. The FencePro PB650 gives you a huge strike area of 3.5m2, making it one of the most versatile bases in the FencePro range.

In this product overview video, Dallas explains the features and benefits of the PB650 130° Rotating base, and why it's become such a popular upgrade for customers wanting more versatility.

The PB650 base functions (i.e. rotation, shift, hydraulic legs) are connected to and controlled from the post driver valve bank. This means that when you are operating your post driver, it's easy to rotate the base around to your post mark and make small adjustments to get your post driver exactly where you need. The ability to be operated out the side or back of the tractor means it's super versatile on steeper fence lines or standard laneway fencing. The PB650 can also be set up to be controlled/rotated from the tractor cab, which is particularly useful on steeper hill country, where shifting the post driver's weight to either side of the tractor helps keep your whole unit more stable.

The two hydraulic legs let you lift your post driver unit up off the ground, so the rotation is super smooth, also there's no scuffing the ground as you slide the post driver in and out of the fence. A hydraulic top link to the tractor comes standard, meaning you can suck the post driver unit in close to your tractor for transport, and lift the whole unit up to position your post driver into awkward corners and heights. Along with the base rotation, this means you can ram posts in places that you would normally have to do by hand. The top link is also adjustable from the cab, making transport easier and stopping the machine from scraping the ground when travelling through gully’s.

The PB650 Base is fitted with adjustable plastic slides that keep the in-and-out movement of the base super smooth, even after years of use. These adjustable plastic slides can be tightened up as they wear, or replaced entirely years down the track. The weld-in pivot bushes mean that once the pivots start to flog out after years of use, they can be ground out and replaced easily, ensuring a long service life. The 2 big greaseable pivot pins keep everything rotating smoothly.

It's also fitted with a suitcase counterweight system. This feature means you can run the PB650 with no counterweight, 120kg counterweight, or 240kg counterweight, depending on the weight of your post driver setup. This ensures that you get a balanced post driver unit and isn’t putting all the weight on one of your tractor linkage arms, and makes it much better to use.  Other standard features include the lockable toolbox for tool storage, a towbar for towing a trailer around the farm, and multiple tool holders, including a spade holder and level holder.

Another accessory holder mount is also fitted to the PB650 base, with the accessory holder itself available as an upgrade, letting you store rock spikes and augers on the base so you can easily interchange them depending on the ground conditions you're working in. The PB650 requires 5 valve functions to operate.

The FencePro PB650 is compatible with the Farmtek, Mule, Mule-V, Ultra G2S, and Ultra V. Heavier post drivers like the Ultra G4 and the Ultra T2 telescopic mast are best paired with the RB800 180-degree rotating base instead, which uses a patented counterweight system that keeps the counterweight always opposite the post driver for a properly balanced unit (even with a heavier post driver) We want every contractor equipped with a FencePro post driver to have a durable, well-balanced, and easy to use machine which is why we recommend the RB800 over the PB650 for these heavier machines.

Every FencePro PB650 post driver base is manufactured in New Zealand by Kiwi engineers, fitted with strengthening gussets throughout for long-term durability, and backed by a 24-month warranty. Being part of a well-known, trusted post rammer brand also means it holds excellent resale value if you ever were to upgrade your unit in the future. The PB650 is also fully retrofittable, so if you're already running a side mount base, upgrading to the PB650 is a great way to get that extra reach and versatility. This base can also be retrofitted to other post driver brands.
